Pre-requisites for Installation & Usage
1. Power Supply Requirements
- Ensure that your home or building has the appropriate power supply setup:
- Video Door Phone Systems: Requires a standard 220-240V AC power supply for indoor and outdoor units. (Power adapter included with the kit)
- Digital Door Locks: Typically powered by batteries (ensure fresh batteries are installed)
2. Network Connectivity
- For products with mobile app integration (both video door phones and digital door locks), a stable Wi-Fi connection (2.4GHz/5GHz) is required for seamless remote monitoring and control via the compatible mobile app.
- Internet connection must be continuous to receive alerts, notifications, or real-time video feeds.
- All Voice and Video Ports from ISP’s, should be open
3. Compatibility Check
- Ensure that your home’s main door thickness (for digital door locks) is compatible with the product. Most digital door locks require a minimum door thickness of 35mm
- Verify that your current door frame or existing lock setup can accommodate the installation of our smart digital door lock without major structural changes (for already constructed properties)
4. Professional Installation
- It is recommended to opt for professional installation services to ensure that your video door phone or digital door lock system is installed correctly. Improper installation may void the product warranty or result in suboptimal performance.
- Some models may require specific cabling, which must be set up in advance or arranged during installation.
5. Environment Suitability
- For outdoor video door stations, ensure the installation area is sheltered or meets the product’s IP rating standards (e.g., IP66-rated units are water and dust resistant). Install in areas free from direct exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Check that the mounting location (for both doorbells and video monitors) provides clear and unobstructed views for the camera.
6. App & Software Requirements
- Ensure that you have a smartphone (iOS or Android) with the latest version of the Onetouch mobile app installed to access and control the product features remotely.
- You must create a registered account on the app to link and configure your device(s).
7. Existing Wiring or Cabling
- Pre-existing wiring should be checked properly and proper network infrastructure may be required for seamless integration. Confirm with your building’s management or service provider if the wiring meets the necessary technical standards.
8. Product Updates & Maintenance
- Some smart features may require periodic software updates. Make sure to regularly update the firmware to ensure product security and access to the latest features.
- Routine maintenance, such as cleaning camera lenses or changing batteries for digital door locks, may be required to maintain optimal performance.
- For seamless device functionality, ensure an adequate and stable power backup is in place
9. Access Control Setup
- Plan how you intend to manage and configure access controls (for digital door locks). Set up PIN codes, biometrics, or card access carefully and ensure that authorized users are familiar with the process.
10. Mobile Device Support
- To access full functionality, ensure the mobile app should be compatible with your device.
